If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please get in touch.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Understand how readers find and use the blog so we can improve our content
  • Respond to your messages and enquiries
  • Send newsletters to subscribers (only if you have opted in)
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Detect and prevent spam or abuse

Our legal basis for processing under UK/EU GDPR is legitimate interests (analytics and site improvement), consent (newsletters and non-essential cookies), and contract (responding to your messages).

4. Cookies & Tracking

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following categories of cookies:

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Managing cookies

When you first visit the site, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preference at any time via the cookie settings link in our site footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — see your browser's help documentation for instructions.

Note for EU/UK visitors We only place non-essential cookies (analytics and affiliate tracking) after you have given consent, in line with the UK PECR and EU ePrivacy rules.

Some links on this blog are affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer or service provider may set a tracking cookie on your device to attribute any resulting purchase to us. We earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
